Jeffrey Meltzer has a broad range of commercial real estate experience and focuses
his practice on the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of
commercial properties throughout the United States, including shopping centers,
office/industrial buildings, apartment complexes, manufacturing facilities and vacant land for
development, in both single-asset and portfolio transactions. He represents institutional lenders and
borrowers in commercial mortgage loan transactions (both conventional and securitized),
and is experienced with various asset types, including retail, office, hotel,
multifamily and industrial properties, as well as alternative methods of
financing including mezzanine loans and preferred equity. He also represents both landlords and tenants
in commercial lease transactions involving retail shopping centers, office and
industrial buildings, with a particular emphasis on retail space in the NY/NJ
metropolitan area.
Prior to joining Sills Cummis & Gross in
2005, Mr. Meltzer worked at a mid-sized firm in New York City where he
represented major financial institutions in a variety of real estate and
commercial finance matters.
