Cecilia I. Lassiter focuses on real property matters, with a particular emphasis on zoning, land use, development and redevelopment. Ms. Lassiter has extensive experience in redevelopment matters, including the designation of areas in need of redevelopment or areas in need of rehabilitation, and the negotiation and preparation of complex redevelopment agreements, purchase and sale agreements, easements, licenses, lease agreements, and land use and occupancy agreements.
Ms. Lassiter advises both private and governmental entities on procedural and substantive requirements of land use and redevelopment law. She has prepared site plan, subdivision, use and bulk/area variance applications and has obtained land use approvals for both private and public clients, including subdivision and site plan approvals. She has extensive experience handling complex real estate development projects, including title due diligence; document negotiation, preparation and review; and organizing and conducting closings. She has provided advice to a host of private and government clients with respect to complex and sophisticated title issues. She has participated in the drafting of ordinances, resolutions, redevelopment plans and developer’s agreements.
