The Dance of Jurisdictions: The Strategic Dynamics of Choosing to Litigate in State or Federal Court

There are many things to take into account when choosing to litigate in state or federal court. This seminar is designed to assist practitioners in making an informed choice between starting and/or defending a civil case in federal court or state court. This program will delve into considerations involving jurisdiction, venue, removal (including hot topics like “snap removal” and the “forum defendant rule”), comparisons/intersections of service of process, discovery, and docket congestion.
