S. Jason Teele is a Member of the Firm’s nationally recognized Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy Reorganization Practice Group with 25 years of experience representing clients in complex bankruptcy and insolvency matters throughout the United States. He represents issuers, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, equity holders, boards and management teams, and purchasers of distressed assets in Chapter 11 cases, liquidations, and related litigation, guiding clients through high-stakes restructurings with a focus on maximizing recoveries and preserving enterprise value.
Mr. Teele also advises lenders and borrowers in loan workouts, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed credit situations. He counsels clients on modifications and forbearance arrangements, intercreditor issues, and enforcement strategies, including foreclosure and the exercise of secured creditor remedies under contracts, the Bankruptcy Code, and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). In addition, he handles commercial litigation and transactional matters and advises directors and officers regarding fiduciary duties in distressed circumstances.
His clients include public and private companies, creditors and committees, equity sponsors, venture capital and private equity funds, labor unions, pension funds, and individuals across industries such as automotive, health care, manufacturing, media and entertainment, retail, and transportation and logistics.
