Sills Cummis & Gross Welcomes IP Lawyer Jason M. Sobel as Chair of Its Trademark, Trade Secrets, and Copyright Practice

Sills Cummis & Gross is pleased to announce the addition of intellectual property lawyer Jason M. Sobel as Chair of the Firm’s Trademark, Trade Secrets, and Copyright Practice. His arrival broadens the Firm’s already strong Intellectual Property Practice Group, enhancing capabilities in trade secret, trademark, copyright, and other complex intellectual property matters.

Sobel joins Sills Cummis from Brown Rudnick, having previously served as an equity partner at Stroock. He brings broad, high-stakes intellectual property litigation and counseling experience spanning patent, trade secret, trademark, trade dress, copyright, and related technology and commercial disputes. Throughout his career, he has handled major intellectual property matters through trial and appeal, including jury trial victories and other significant results in patent, trademark, trade secret, trade dress, and copyright cases. Sobel has been recognized by Chambers USA, IAM Patent 1000, Legal 500, and Managing IP for his intellectual property work.

At Sills Cummis, Sobel will work closely with Scott D. Stimpson, Chair of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group for more than 16 years. With more than 30 years of experience, Stimpson previously was a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius and Pennie & Edmonds.

Sobel earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.
