Preparing for and Managing an IRS Examination with Cryptocurrency Issues
This panel will discuss IRS efforts in encouraging and reviewing taxpayer reporting of virtual currency transactions, including recent efforts in issuing “educational letters” to taxpayers and the Virtual Currency Compliance Campaign. The panel will also discuss best practices to prepare for and manage an IRS examination of virtual currency issues.
