Sills Cummis & Gross is pleased to announce that Katherine M. Lieb has been promoted to Member of the Firm and Paul Salvatoriello has been named Of Counsel, effective October 1, 2026.
Katherine M. Lieb | Member of the Firm | Intellectual Property
Katherine Lieb is an intellectual property attorney with more than two decades of experience counseling domestic and international clients in high-stakes intellectual property matters. She handles a broad range of intellectual property litigation, including copyright, trademark, and patent infringement actions, as well as complex contractual disputes involving intellectual property licensing and technology agreements. Her practice spans diverse industries, including consumer electronics, fashion and apparel, life sciences, and other technology-driven fields. In addition to her intellectual property practice, Ms. Lieb has significant experience in sophisticated commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on federal court practice, including class actions, real estate disputes, and complex business litigation. She has litigated cases through trial and handled appeals in state and federal courts. Earlier in her career, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Joseph E. Irenas of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. She received her J.D. from Washington University School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy, and her B.A., cum laude, from The College of William and Mary. She is based in the Firm’s New York office.
Paul Salvatoriello | Of Counsel | Litigation
Paul Salvatoriello is an experienced trial attorney with over two decades of litigation experience spanning both the private and public sectors. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation matters and appeals. Mr. Salvatoriello’s courtroom experience includes appearances in both federal and state courts, including conducting jury trials, and arguing appeals on complex and novel issues of law before the New Jersey Appellate Division, the New Jersey Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His public sector experience includes serving as a Special Assistant to the New Jersey Attorney General, where he provided counsel on criminal justice, homeland security, and State Police matters. He began his career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Peter G. Verniero of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. He is based in the Firm’s Newark office.
