Patent Litigation Associate – New York

Sills Cummis & Gross is seeking a highly motivated mid-level associate (4–6 years of experience) to join its Intellectual Property Group in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-stakes, complex patent litigation matters as part of a nationally and internationally recognized practice.

• Manage and support all aspects of patent litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, briefs and motions.
• Participate in discovery, including depositions and expert work.
• Assist with trial preparation and court appearances.
• Collaborate with clients, experts and cross-functional legal teams.

• 4-6 years of patent litigation experience at a law firm.
• Admission to the New York bar required.
• Ability to waive into the New Jersey bar (preferred/expected).
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.
• Experience with complex technologies a plus.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Fluency in Mandarin, with the ability to read and write Chinese.

Compensation

• The expected salary range for this position is $230,000-$260,000 commensurate with experience.
