Michael S. Carucci joined the Sills Cummis & Gross Litigation Practice Group in 2016 after
serving as Senior Counsel for the Office of the Governor of New Jersey. For over three years, he advised the Governor
on legal, legislative and regulatory issues and represented the Governor during
discussions and meetings on various issues with legislators, Cabinet members,
senior departmental staff, government affairs professionals and stakeholders.
Appointed by the Governor, Mr. Carucci currently serves as a member of the New Jersey School Ethics Commission, which reviews and acts on complaints alleging violations of the School Ethics Act, issues advisory opinions, and enforces disclosure and training requirements.
Prior to his work in the Office of the Governor, Mr. Carucci
was a litigation associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP where he represented
international corporations and executives in large-scale, multimillion-dollar
litigation matters in federal and state court, focusing on complex commercial
litigation, securities litigation, mergers and acquisitions litigation, white
collar defense and antitrust.
