Sills Cummis & Gross Announces 2022 Attorney Promotions: Four New Members and Three Of Counsel Named

Sills Cummis & Gross is pleased to announce four attorneys have been promoted to Members of the Firm ‒ Matthew B. Abrams, Adam J. Faiella, Laura E. Sedlak and William L. Wilkins; and three attorneys have been promoted to Of Counsel to the Firm ‒ Jeffrey Gaskill, Gregory A. Kopacz and Lauren C. Watson. The promotions are effective October 1, 2022.
Matthew B. Abrams | Member of the Firm | Tax, Trusts and Estates
Matthew B. Abrams focuses his practice on trusts and estates matters, including estate planning, probate, administration and Surrogate’s Court litigation. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia. He received his J.D. from New York Law School and his B.A. from Columbia University.
Adam J. Faiella | Member of the Firm | Real Estate
Adam J. Faiella focuses his practice on zoning, land use and redevelopment. He is admitted in New Jersey and New York. He received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his B.S., with distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University.
Laura E. Sedlak | Member of the Firm | Litigation
Laura E. Sedlak focuses her practice on antitrust, intellectual property and franchise litigation, as well as other commercial disputes, in both state and federal courts. She is admitted in New Jersey and New York. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School and her B.A., cum laude, from New York University.
William L. Wilkins | Member of the Firm | Corporate
William L. Wilkins focuses his practice on transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, debt and equity financings, and complex commercial transactions. He also has experience in appellate litigation matters. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He received his J.D., LL.M. in Taxation and LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University School of Law. He received his B.A. from Rutgers University.
Jeffrey Gaskill | Of Counsel to the Firm | Real Estate
Jeffrey Gaskill focuses his practice on real estate finance matters representing lenders in the origination of commercial real estate financing transactions secured by a variety of asset classes including hotels, multifamily apartments, retail, office and industrial. He is admitted in New Jersey. He received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.S. and B.A. from Rutgers University.
Gregory A. Kopacz | Of Counsel to the Firm | Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy Reorganization
Gregory A. Kopacz represents debtors, official and ad hoc committees, lenders and strategic parties in insolvency proceedings, distressed transactions, out-of-court workouts and related litigation. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. He received his J.D., cum laude, and LL.M. in Banking and Finance Law from Boston University School of Law. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Pepperdine University.
Lauren C. Watson | Of Counsel to the Firm | Litigation
Lauren C. Watson focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, representing financial institutions, corporations and individuals in both federal and state courts. She is admitted in New Jersey and New York. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School and her B.S., cum laude, from Davidson College.
