Steven R. Kamen, Co-Chair of the Firm's Corporate Practice Group, provides corporate counseling to public and private companies, including the structuring and negotiating of complex acquisitions, joint ventures/collaborations, as well as commercial transactions involving REITs and development arrangements.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Kamen was Senior Vice President and General Counsel to a New York City-based internet company, and later, Senior Vice President and General Counsel to a New York City-based private equity firm with portfolio companies in the following industries: commercial real estate, oil and gas, media, airlines, fitness equipment and explosives.
With a proficiency in Japanese, he has been involved in numerous transactions involving Japanese companies and their U.S. subsidiaries. As outside counsel, Mr. Kamen’s experience includes work with both domestic and foreign-based clients in a wide range of industries, including real estate, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, energy, chemical, financial services, insurance, gaming, office products and food service.
