Simon Kimmelman is a Member of the Firm, Managing Partner of the Firm’s Princeton office and Princeton Chair of the Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy Reorganization Practice Group. Mr. Kimmelman’s practice is focused on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, secured transactions and general corporate matters. He primarily represents secured creditors, lessors, trustees and other principal parties in interest in a wide variety of bankruptcy and workout matters with particular emphasis on complex Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings. Mr. Kimmelman has represented major entities involved in many of the significant Chapter 11 cases recently filed in New Jersey as well as several in other jurisdictions. He was appointed and served as the bankruptcy trustee for Kiwi International Airlines and John Z. DeLorean. Mr. Kimmelman is also registered as a mediator in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Kimmelman is co-author of two books: Advanced Chapter 11 Practice, ICLE (2002), and New Jersey Bankruptcy Manual, ICLE (1983). He has also written several articles on bankruptcy topics and is a frequent lecturer on advanced bankruptcy issues.
