Nicole G. McDonough is an Associate in the Family Law Practice
Group of Sills Cummis & Gross. Ms.
McDonough is an experienced civil litigator who has spent her career working
with private clients to achieve their personal and business goals. Recognizing that every family is unique, Ms.
McDonough listens to her clients’ needs and formulates a strategic approach to
resolution. Ms. McDonough applies her
vast experience in sophisticated business valuations and dissolutions to
marital dissolutions, including complex agreements related to finances,
separation and cohabitation. She also
focuses on issues relating to children, including custody, visitation and
adoption. While Ms. McDonough is known
by her clients as a fierce advocate in the courtroom, she understands that each
case is unique and that a client’s goals may best be achieved through alternative
Before joining the Firm, Ms. McDonough was an Associate in the Commercial
Litigation Department at Cole Schotz P.C., representing high net worth
individuals and businesses located throughout the country and internationally.
Ms. McDonough earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School
of Law, where she was honored as a Dean Scholar. While in law school, Ms. McDonough served as
a judicial intern to the Honorable William J. Martini, United States District
Judge for the District of New Jersey.
Ms. McDonough was also a member of Seton Hall’s Interscholastic Moot
Court Board, where she received advocacy and writing honors in multiple
national competitions. Ms. McDonough
enjoys giving back to students interested in the practice of law by serving as
the Bergen County Coordinator for the national Vincent J. Apruzzese High School
Mock Trial Competition.
