Sills Cummis & Gross Elects New Member and Of Counsel

Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. is pleased to announce that Jeffrey L. Wasserman has been named a Member of the Firm; and Jeffrey Meltzer and Robin Countee Pistorius have been named Of Counsel to the Firm, effective October 1, 2011.

Jeffrey L. Wasserman – Member, Corporate, Private Equity and Life Sciences Practice Groups – Newark
Jeffrey Wasserman provides corporate counseling to private equity and venture capital funds, and public and private companies. His expertise includes the structuring and negotiating of leveraged buy-outs, investments, complex acquisitions, secured and unsecured lending, licensing and joint ventures/collaborations. He also provides general corporate advice. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1998 and his B.A. from Tulane University in 1993.

Jeffrey Meltzer – Of Counsel, Real Estate Practice Group – Newark
Jeffrey Meltzer has a broad range of experience in and focuses his practice on real estate finance, leasing, and purchase and sales transactions. He represents institutional lenders in the origination of commercial mortgage loans for securitization in the capital markets, and is experienced with various asset types, including retail, office, hotel, multifamily and industrial properties. He also represents both landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions involving shopping centers and office buildings throughout the U.S., and represents various companies in the acquisition and disposition of commercial property. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 1994 and his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1991.

Robin Countee Pistorius – Of Counsel, Business Crimes, Tax Litigation and Civil Litigation Practice Groups – Newark
Robin Countee Pistorius has been defending individuals in federal white collar criminal investigations and prosecutions, with a special emphasis on criminal tax cases over the past several years. She has also counseled numerous clients participating in the 2009 and 2011 offshore voluntary disclosure programs of the IRS. In 2002, she received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences in 1997.
