Sills Cummis & Gross’ Commercial Litigation Department Named as the Finalist in New Jersey Law Journal’s “Litigation Department of the Year”

April 07, 2014

The Sills Cummis & Gross Commercial Litigation Department has been named the finalist  in the Commercial Litigation Department of the Year rankings by the New Jersey Law Journal.  This is the second annual list of leading litigation departments “based on their recipes for success.” According to the editor, “participation among firms was more enthusiastic, and consequently, competition was keener.”

Joseph L. Buckley, Chair of the Litigation Department, stated: “We are extremely proud to have been included in the rankings this year.  Our lawyers worked hard this past year and I am delighted that they were recognized for all of their extraordinary work.”

The Firm has previously been recognized in numerous publications such as Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, Benchmark Litigation and New Jersey Super Lawyers.

The Sills Cummis & Gross Litigation Department consists of over 60 attorneys representing multinational corporations, financial institutions and government bodies, often in complex and important matters.  It is chaired by Joseph L. Buckley and co-chaired by Anthony Argiropoulos, Richard H. Epstein and Beth S. Rose. The litigation attorneys are active in pre-trial, trial and appellate matters in federal and state courts, as well as administrative litigation, grand jury investigations and arbitrations.  The Firm prides itself on advancing its client’s strategic business objectives, while at the same time striving to identify the key factual and legal issues that determine the final outcome of the litigation, always staffing matters intelligently and leanly.

The article goes on to name Sills Cummis & Gross’ other major litigation practices and teams including product liability, pharmaceutical and medical device, class action defense, health care and appellate.

As stated in the 2013 Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers, “Besides its high-quality trial and litigation advocacy, the firm’s strongest point is its ability to adapt to the specific needs of the client.”
