Sills Cummis & Gross Celebrates Marriage Equality and Introduces The Family Law Practice Group

A premier Family Law Team has joined Sills Cummis & Gross in its Newark office. The group is led by Jan L. Bernstein, who will serve as Chair of The Family Law Practice Group. Joining her from Riker Danzig are Jennifer Lazor and Erin E. Rantas.  All three will be Members of the Firm.  Joining the former Riker team is Linda Mainenti-Walsh from Einhorn Harris, who will be Of Counsel to the Firm.

The Team, leaders in their field, adds a new dimension to the Firm serving its private clients with Family Law issues.  They are known for forward thinking and complex problem solving to successfully reach the goals of their clients.

Ms. Bernstein stated: “After 32 years at Riker Danzig, this change was seriously considered.  Our Team strives to serve our Family Law clients in a smart, efficient and creative way as part of a large firm’s private client services.  It was very important to us that Sills Cummis & Gross is open to the evolving legal needs of the diverse families we serve.”

Ms. Bernstein received a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law–Camden in 1982 and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979.  Ms. Lazor received a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law–Newark in 1998 and a B.A., with honors, from Lafayette College in 1994.  Ms. Rantas received a J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University in 2001 and a B.A. from Siena College in 1998.  Ms. Mainenti-Walsh received a B.A. from Montclair State College in 1986 and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1989.  All are admitted to practice in New Jersey.
