Sills Cummis & Gross Attorney Nicole Joy Leibman Earns CIPP/US Certification

Nicole Joy Leibman, Of Counsel to Sills Cummis & Gross, has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Ms. Leibman focuses her practice on the provision of outside general counsel services, and litigation and dispute resolution.  She has counseled major national and international clients on a variety of complex legal issues ranging from litigation strategy to corporate formation to intellectual property rights.  In addition, Ms. Leibman has developed extensive experience in the ever-growing electronic payment space, advising clients at the merchant, ISO, processor and sponsor bank levels on new developments in the law. 

The IAPP is a not-for-profit association founded in 2000 with a mission to define, support and improve the privacy profession globally. The IAPP has developed and launched the only globally recognized credentialing programs in information privacy.  The CIPP/US credential demonstrates a strong foundation in U.S. privacy laws and regulations and understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal data to/from the U.S., the EU and other jurisdictions. The CIPP/US program launched in October 2004 as the first professional certification ever to be offered in information privacy.
