New Jersey-Israel Commission meeting on December 15, 2015 was held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. "So it was with the goal of sharing insights and experiences that the New Jersey-Israel Commission met at NJIT this week to discuss ways to bridge the 'digital divide' that exists in both Israel and the Garden State between populations with computer access, experience and savvy and those in need of it. Both also hold the belief that education and innovation are the key drivers of robust economic growth and view a diverse IT workforce as central to expanding it," as seen in this article. Presenters at the meeting included New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, NJIT President Joel Bloom, Commission Chair Mark Levenson, Amir Sagie, Israel’s deputy consul general, Christopher Rodriguez, director of New Jersey’s Office of Homeland Security, Timothy Franklin, associate vice president for business and economic development at NJIT’s New Jersey Innovation Institute and Dan Ben-David, of the Shoresh Institute and Tel Aviv University.
