As stated in a January 10, 2012 Asbury Park Press article, “Builders and property owners have two extra years to complete projects permitted under old sewerage service area rules.” The article continues, “Sewerage area boundaries effectively limit where future suburban growth will happen, because it’s not practical to build shopping malls and housing developments without public sewers. Ted Zangari, a real estate lawyer and advocate for delaying the sewer rules, says there are about 800,000 developable acres left in New Jersey and there needs to be enough available to assure the state’s economic future.”
