As seen in this article, “While a client seeking IP advice from an attorney may not be a giant enterprise, that doesn’t mean it is unsophisticated when it come to this asset area.  ‘Our clients are often very well informed about their IP objectives,’ says Lori M. Waldron, a member of Life Sciences Practice Group at Sills Cummis & Gross in Newark.  ‘They scour universities for inventions, devices [and other promising creations], and Big Pharma for spinoffs that these companies don’t wish to follow up on…[creations] with good patent protection or good prospects to get patent protection.'"
