Vincent R. Lodato is an Associate in the Firm's Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Lodato’s practice concentrates on defending product liability matters including cases involving medical devices, pharmaceuticals and consumer products. His experience includes serving as member of the litigation team defending a pharmaceutical company in personal injury cases involving a drug used to treat Parkinson's disease. Mr. Lodato is also a member of a national counsel team defending a pharmaceutical company in the hormone replacement therapy (HRT) litigation. Mr. Lodato was also a member of a national counsel team defending two medical device manufacturers in the latex glove litigation and has defended pharmaceutical companies in various types of personal injury actions.
His responsibilities in these litigations have included collecting fact discovery, developing and implementing defense strategies, working with local counsel and national defense counsel, preparing fact and expert witnesses, conducting depositions of plaintiffs and treating physicians, preparing corporate witnesses for depositions, preparing dispositive and discovery motions and generally overseeing the litigation.
Mr. Lodato has additional product liability experience defending medical devices including syringes, ambulance stretchers and cold compresses, and cases involving various consumer products including treadmills, trampolines and cosmetic products. Moreover, he has litigated various types of personal injury matters and commercial matters involving trade secrets, contract disputes and employment matters on behalf of several prominent corporations.
Mr. Lodato graduated from Seton Hall School of Law magna cum laude. While at Seton Hall, Mr. Lodato was a member of the Seton Hall Law Review and completed internships with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights and the Honorable Philip B. Cummis in Essex County.
Mr. Lodato was identified as one of “New Jersey’s Rising Stars” by New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2009. |
